February Half Term Things To Do
Fairies & Pirates, Paradise Park
Head over to Hayle and let your children burn up any excess energy at this fun activity and play centre. Throughout the half term there is a pirate and fairy fancy dress theme.
Tate Create - Toy Circus
Take a trip over to St Ives, wander the cobbled streets and delve into independent shops. Then take your family to Tate St Ives and let your creativity run wild as they challenge you to make your own toys from the bits and pieces you’ll find in the Naum Gabo inspired Studio workshop. Take them away or stay and play!
Learn to Surf
Yes it might be February but wetsuits are so good now and our friends at Global Boarders have great quality equipment you’ll be just fine! Lessons are on and these folks have super experience at getting all levels to improve, from beginner to England team members!
Bring ALL the Family
It’s the perfect time to bring your four legged friend so all the family can enjoy the beach. Dogs are welcome in three of our properties and on the beach, what’s more they’ll love the woodburners to cosy up to after a hard day playing on the beach.
You’ll have coastal walks galore and they’re also welcome in the ‘local’ Sandbar.
Visit The Best Castle in Cornwall
Open for February half term adults and children will love the adventure of visiting St Michael’s Mount! Time the tide for whether you want to head over on an amphibious vehicle or on the ancient cobbled path. Explore the castle, legends and stories of this magical island.
See the Seals!
Seals, got to love them! We frequently end up near them in the sea but there’s easier ways to see them… The Seal Sanctuary at Gweek is a great place for children (and adults) to see these mammals close up. Alternatively, here’s a top tip, head to Godrevy beach and walk up towards the lighthouse, a little further on you can see down a cliff to a beach often full of seals. Just be careful of the drop and not to scare them.
“We have had a fantastic time & have felt so at home here.”
“We are just finishing a week at The Rockpool, Praa Sands and can only say we are very sad to be leaving. It’s a good job we’re going to Padstow for a week straight from here. We have had a fantastic time & have felt so at home here. The Rockpool is just perfect in every way & the beach is one of the main reasons we chose here. We have been all around the area and have really got in as much as possible. Standout moments have been Kynance Cove and walking the SW path. The Sand Bar next door does a mean fish & chips and other places we ate which were 5 were Kota & the Victoria Inn. Thanks BeachStays, we’ll be back. John & Lesley.” John, Facebook
